Typical features of reinforced concrete skeletal structures and basic dimensions of different structural segments are described in the thesis. Moreover, various possibilities of anchoring and various types of lightweighted covering constructions are mentioned in the thesis as well. Functional building envelope requirements are evaluated in more detail. Following the existing building and its envelope described in the thesis, the project of wood-based lightweighted covering construction is designed. Building envelope evaluated by certain parameters according to the functional requirements is designed in the second part of the thesis. Fragment assessment in terms of thermal insulation is processed by computer programs ISOVER fragment, Area 2010 and subsequent comparison of all results. It was followed by simulating thermo-physical properties of the building envelope structural details by computer programs Area 2010 and Cube3D, and subsequent reviewing of fragments. The selected bearing element is statically reviewed according to Eurocode5. Final part of the thesis is devoted to the brief description of energy intensity, effectiveness and fire safety proposals for the building.
