Every company has an interest in the asset management at such level that ensures not only business survival but also its prosperity. This also applies to the forest management sector, where trading assets create the majority of all assets, therefore the work is largely devoted to the activities involving the customer. The theoretical bases of the asset analysis are the foundations for a practical analysis of a particular company. The thesis also discusses the modern trends in asset management in Slovakia and worldwide. The main aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the current state and the development of assets with the emphasis on their management at the University forestry enterprise in Zvolen in accordance with theoretical knowledge and actual trends in the field of asset management. The results of the analysis of the selected enterprise indicate its stable situation in the area of asset management. This is mainly due to the important indicators that have the positive values also in comparison with the surrounding companies. Even despite of a stable situation with a positive development there are the areas in the enterprise that could be made more efficient by using the latest trends.
