The main aim of this thesis is to comment on the development of the territorial and commodity structure of the foreign trade of the Slovak Republic in selected timeframe. This goal was achieved by making up the procedure and theoretical work for this particular issue. According to the results we can state that the Slovak Republic went in the last 10 years through enormous economic growth which corresponds with growing exports and also GDP growth. The most important foreign trade partners are Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Russia where we export mainly cars, machinery, rubber, steel, oil, plastic products and precious metals.
