The aim of the thesis is modelling the efficiency of technically-oriented public colleges. It has two major parts – theoretical and practical. The former includes the definition of performance, description of various activities of organisations which evaluate the efficiency of public colleges. It also presents criteria set by one of these organisations. The thesis further discusses the area of funding of public colleges and at last but not least the area of marketing communication and characterisics of all colleges compared. The information for the theoretical part were excerpted from vocational materials (books) and the Internet sources. The empirical part includes the analysis of the time ranges and researching the statistical dependancies. The key tools of the analysis to meet the aim of the thesis were the linear and quadratic function.
