BILIK Ľ.: Evaluation of the innovation of Slovakia. [Masters thesis] – Technical University in Zvolen. Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology. Head of the thesis: Ing. Erika Loučanová, PhD. TU in Zvolen, 2017, 72 pages. The aim of the thesis is evaluation of the innovation of Slovakia and its subsequent comparison within the Visegrad Group and European-wide average. In the context of the theoretical background it is focused on the issue of inventions, innovations, current trends of advanced countries access to innovations, evaluation methods of innovative effect as well as the current trends of assessing the effectiveness of innovations and innovative policy. Then we focused on the comparison of the innovation in the selected countries, where in the overview tables and charts are evaluated selected indicators for individual countries. Consequently, there are created the network charts showing the profiles of individual countries according to the selected indicators and comparing them with the European Union average. In the context of the discussion we dealt with comparison of innovation of Slovakia with the EU average, we determined a type of innovator within the matrix of evaluation of innovation of Slovakia and the compared countries. Consequently, on the basis of the SWOT analysis, we have formulated recommendations for enhancing innovation of Slovakia in the future.
