The main aim of my diploma thesis is solving of problems from the aspect of sustainable development, using the landscape-ecological conditions of the cadastral unit of Veľké Rovné. The first chapter defines the concept of landscape from different perspectives. It presents the characteristic of sustainable development, the LANDEP methodology and its steps, which are followed in my diploma thesis. The next chapters focus on collection of information about the area, the characteristic of primary and secondary structure of the landscape. The key result of my work is processing of the landscape-ecological analyzes according to the LANDEP methodology, namely the primary, secondary and tertiary structure of the landscape, which are presented on the maps. The landscape-ecological syntheses are processed there as well. By the method of superposition are created the maps of types of abiotic complexes and the landscape-ecological complexes. In the landscape-ecological interpretation is compared the resent landscape structure with the potential natural vegetation. The chapter titled „Návrhy a odporúčania“ identifies the problems and name the ways to eliminate the unfriendly landscape effects and ensure the favourable landscape utilization.
