The main purpose of this graduate thesis is the idea of sustainable development in waste management. This thesis is divided into 2 parts. First, general, chapter describes general definition, legislation rules, waste management, solid communal waste methodics and it´s efficient recovery. In the next chapter we take measure of sample territory called Červený majer, located in the city of Senec. We describe the history, current situation, natural condition of this landfill. With the end of this thesis we compile our findings, we receive the opinion of the population of the City and we also suggest appropriate solution for this community within waste management.
