Degree of qualification level: Master of Science / Ing./ Zvolen. 2017, 67 pp. Aim of the thesis is the economic evaluation of the reconstruction of the sawmill roof construction. Master thesis is divided into four main parts. First part is devoted to theoretical framework associated with the sawmills in the Slovak Republic and subsequent division of sawmills according to the main saw. It is focused on the types of roof constructions and the system of binding rafter used in the reconstruction is described there in more detail. Theoretical knowledge is highlighted and subsequently used in the research part of the thesis. Second part deals with the aim of the thesis. Methodology of the thesis is proposed in the third part of the thesis. Fourth part deals with the specific sawmill. Enterprise description, ways of timber conversion and enterprise production programme as well as economic efficiency of the reconstruction are mentioned there. Theoretical knowledge acquired and mentioned at the beginning is implemented in the research part of the thesis. The main objective of the thesis is to verify the efficiency of the roof reconstruction in the sawmill and to propose specific suggestions.
