The main objective of this master thesis is a design and management of an educational bike trail situated north of Rimavská Sobota. The introduction outlines tourism in general, bike tourism, environmental education and a potential of tourism in the district. Thesis will then explain bike trails, how they are build, their layout, types of bike trails, their financing, legislation, survey aimed to find out how people are interested in the proposed bike trail and the proposal of the bike trail itself. The trail will include 19 stops targeted at the most interesting parts of the region, nature, landscape structures, communities, view of the country and natural landmarks. The conclusion handles financing of the proposed trail, it´s costs, cooperation with biking club in the future and positive impacts of the proposed trail for the tourism of the region. As an integral part of the trail, a tourist guide was designed in a form of brochure which not only provides information about the bike trail but also serves as a propagation material.
