The diploma thesis deals with the logistics of the wood-processing company Iron Art a.s. The theoretical part deals with the issues of production and warehouse logistics, supplies, wood-like technological supplies and wood drying. The practical part of the work at the beginning characterized the studied object of Iron Art a.s. and its products, are manufactured and sold to its customers. Research is focused on oak grooves. It examines their detailed production process, from the receipt of logs to the warehouse to the storage of the finished product in the warehouse, and identifies critical locations using spatial and time study methods, observation, interviews with senior executives. Two case studies are modeled to optimize critical sites (volume of production and time of natural drying). The first is the proposal to use its own dryer and in the second it is proposed to purchase two other driers with a slightly larger capacity than the original one. After the elaboration of the case studies, the elaborated proposals are evaluated economically. The aim of the thesis is a proposal for shortening the natural drying / ripening time of oak cuttings, recommendations for solving problems in production, storage and storage area.
