The thesis solves with the implementation of monitoring in the rural development program in 2007 - 2013 in the conditions of the Slovak Republic. The first two chapters are predominantly theoretical, defining concepts such as implementation, monitoring, rural development program. We can find here described of risks whitch can occur during the monitoring implementation process in the rural development program. The practical part of the work was devoted to the specification of the RDP2007 - 2013 (PPA, MC and its members), and we also focused on the analysis of documents (monitoring reports) and semistructured interview with members of the MC representing by the forestry section. Following these steps and various analyzes, we concluded that RDI 2007 - 2013 itself was successful, although some weaknesses were encountered during its implementation, such as: a long process of evaluating the projects, approving and subsequently allocating funds, missing information for applicants for admissions and approved by the projects, problematic system of evaluation of projects. However, despite the shortcomings, the NRP SR 2007 - 2013 can be evaluated positively because it has contributed significantly to the long-term underserved forestry sector.
