They also have their place and importance in the forestry sector. They provide for business not only with development but also with competitiveness. The scope of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the innovation potential of six companies by analyzing the innovation process in the implementation of technological innovation into practice. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis was focused on innovation, innovation process, innovation systems, innovation policy and innovation strategy of the Slovakia and Czech Republic. Furthermore, in our thesis we are dealing with the methodology of processing of innovation processes, oriented towards understanding the innovation process and the innovation system in the six private companies in the forestry sector. The analytical part of the thesis consists of processed case studies that are based on a personal interview with the initiators of innovation. Subsequent processing of the acquired knowledge from personal interviews and comparison of the results obtained in the innovation processes. At the end of the thesis is an interpreted summary and evaluation of innovation processes, their reasonable, the desired contribution with the possibility of making new innovations, which would bring the company positive results of the company's management.
