The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the structure and diversity of broadleaf mixed worts in the forest concerned, which is managed by the General enterprise of forests and services in Vyšný Medzev. The first chapter informs about the current knowledge about the issue of the growing and cultivating of worts in Slovakia and abroad. The theoretical summary explains in detail the knowledge of the structure of the worts and the charateristics of the individual trees. In the second chapter there are set out individual targets consisting of three parts. The third chapter is focused on the methodology and methods of research, detailing the selected forest cover and measurement methodology. In the results of the diploma thesis were found the mean values and variability parametres charaterizing wort, that is thickness, height, frequency, stability and species composition, too. In terms of frequency analysis it was found to competitive relationships between target trees. Structural diversity wort was characterized by means of structural indices that quantify diversity through mathematical and statistical approaches.
