The goal of this diploma thesis was to discern the quality of services and level of management in the Slovak Scientific Library in Banská Bystrica and The Royal Ontario Museum Libraries & Archives in Canada. The first part of the thesis consists of theoretical background in services, service quality management and cultural-educational services. The practical part focuses on a quality management survey, especially reader satisfaction with the services provided by the libraries and employee satisfaction. The survey was conducted via questionnaires. Recommendations to improve the quality of library services and working conditions of the employees were made on the basis of the results.
