The diploma thesis introduces the design of atypical set of furniture in the living room, in particular furniture for seating, table and furniture for storing. Hasty times and increased working demands are causes of lack of free time so the design of furniture in a household must be as efficient as possible. Multifunctional furniture meets this demand and user can perform various activities in one room. The following chapter is dedicated to the division of furniture. The living room is the heart of every household, due to fact that family members spent there the most of their free time. Thus the furniture must be designed to fulfill all conditions. The proposal of atypical set of furniture is presented in the penultimate part of the thesis. Whole proposal is documented from the scratch to its final version. Individual parts of the set have detailed instruction for use including the construction. In the last part of the thesis the solution for rotation of the desk is presented. Blueprints of the living room furniture set and related documents are the part of the thesis and can be found in the appendix.
