Diploma thesis was focused on processing issues bark beetle in spruce stands. The work is more focused on the bark beetle (Pityogenes chalcographus) and its activities in forest areas Račová, belonging to the Forest district in Oravský Podzámok. The secondary pest in recent decades increasingly manifests itself as a pest in older stands, particularly in areas where vegetation significantly damaged by air pollutants. This work focuses on the bionomics and ecology of the pest, damaging method and factors that affect its overgrowth. It is also mentioned in the work of stand characteristics and natural conditions on the model area. The work analyzes the dynamics of monthly Pityogenes chalcographus capture in pheromone traps, analyzes the impact of stand and site conditions to capture Pityogenes chalcographus and dependence of the captured individuals of selected climatic factors for the year, 2016.
