Strelka, O. 2017. Assessment of water flow and the basin Honsky stream (Revúca´s Highland) way to avoid flash floods in the town Rakovnica. Technical University in Zvolen, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest mining, logistics and amelioration. Thesis supervisor: prof. Ing. Matúš Jakubis, PhD. Qualification level: engineer, abbreviated as "Ing.", LF TU 2017, 77 p.The thesis is focused on the evaluation of the water flow and catchment Honsky stream in terms of protection against flash floods. First of all, we described natural conditions and determined the characteristics of the river basin and flow. A water flow within the boundaries of the village was placed Rakovnica closing off flow profile (the "UPP"). Then we set up 15 experimental section, which we calculated basic geometric and hydraulic characteristics. Based on the calculations in terms of environmental OTN ŽP 3112-1: 03 we determined the N-year flows and assess the capacity of the reference flow sections and bridges on that flow. Capacity flow profiles were compared with the Q-100 and N-year discharges. The resulting values and comparisons to show you in the form of graphs. Of the 15 evaluable trial section was required flow rate of 5 profiles, for which we proposed treatment. In conclusion, we focused on brief. The suggestion of flood protection in the basin Honský stream in the context of flash floods.
