Diploma thesis "The economic effect of the introduction of computer-aided manufacturing systems for small joinery firms" deals with the concept and structure of CIM systems and modeling of CIM system for the joinery firm. The work is divided into two basic parts. The first theoretical part is dedicated to an integrated computer-aided manufacturing, effect of CIM production systems and defining basic terms. In the second practical part is based on the evaluated questionnaires created a model firm. Based on the selected criteria are compared different CA systems from which they are selected, as appropriate, those that propose to implement the model in joinery firm. In the final chapters of this work deals with the system requirements and implementation projects selected CA systems to a firm.
