Zvolen: TU, 2017, 60 p.Master thesis deals with the measurement of the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises based on data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic in selected sector of the economy, specifically in the branch of industry for six years period 2010 – 2015. The first chapter contains theoretical basis of the issue such as basic terms, the small and medium-sized enterprises determination, the position of small and medium-sized enterprises in the economy of the Slovak Republic and the European Union, the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises, advantages and disadvantages of small and medium-sized enterprises and methods of performance evaluation. The second chapter tries to solve the fulfillment of diploma thesis aim and follow-up partial aims. The third chapter describes selected methodology of diploma thesis as well as selected ratio indicators and methodology of their calculation. Verification part of the diploma thesis evaluates small and medium-sized enterprises as a whole, but also small and medium-sized enterprises from organizational statistics point of view and analysis of selected financial indicators by which we evaluated the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises in industry.
