This thesis is devoted to the fire protection of a nonproduction building, to be more precise to the fire protection of nursery school in Vrbov. The first part is occupied with the legislation concerning these issues. We followed up fire protection in buildings and specified requirements for construction of buildings in the Slovak Republic, as well as abroad. In the applied part we discussed the original solution of the chosen building. What’s more, we elaborated documentation according to current standards and legislation. We compared the original solution with the new one and we laid down arrangements for provision of proper fire protection.
