The content of this master thesis is the verification of the BEHI method (Bank Erosion Hazard Index) and also evaluation of antierosion effect of the riparian vegetation on the Zolná watercourse (Poľana, Zvolenská kotlina). Eighteen experimental sections were established on this watercourse and characteristics for determination of the BEHI index were measured there. The part of this work is also theoretical evaluation of the function of riparian vegetation, characteristic of the river basin, explicit analysis of the BEHI index determination, evaluation of riparian vegetation and its current state on the Zolná watercourse and analysis of correlation between BEHI and STK (level of antierosion impact of vegetation according to landscaping classification).
