In the thesis, we analyse the data about the basic technical parameters of the iron horse MK18. We describe the operation of the machine in practice, its control, and safety during working with this machine. In one of the chapters, we focus on description of the vegetation, in which we specifically characterize the vegetation and the tree species composition. In the next section of the thesis, we focus on the methodology of landscaping and office work. In the landscaping work, we describe the working day and tools with which we carry out the measurements. In the office work, we tried to describe the calculation methods and explain the results calculated in the Statistica 10 program. The authors found that greatest impact on the preformance of the iron horse is voluminosity of the skidding strains. With the increasing volume, hour efficiency is increasing too. Performance improvement proceeds to the point of maximum tractive force of the machine, which is 1000 kg. Another factor is the approach distance significantly affects on the performance. The greater the distance is, the hourly performance decreases.
