The thesis is aimed to examine the biodegrability of particleboards against to moulds (Aspergillus versicolor, Aspergillus niger, Penicillium purpurogenum, Stachybotrys chartarum, Rhodotorula mucilaginosa). In the first phase, we prepared samples of three-layer particleboard, glued with MF adhesive, which we impregnated at the bottom side and at the edges with epoxy resin. Subsequently, chip boards were impregnated with nano solutions in three different concentrations ZnO – 10%, 3, 3 %, 1%; silver – 0,01%, 0,000033%, 0,00001% and silver combinations with ZnO. Untreated control specimens with ZnO were less effective. However, specimens treated with silver were the most effective. Untreated control specimens were less effective. On the other hand clove, oregano was most effective in all concentrations.Specimens were treated in two stages. In the first stage were surface treatment with essential oils of oregano and clove and their combinations and ZnO, silver. Less effective has untreated samples. Untreated control specimens were effective before moulds with used clove, oregano in all concentrations.
