Zvolen 2017. 76 pages Diploma Thesis deals with the analysis of the evolution of market of selected Biofuels based on wood taking into account the impact of inflation and the prediction of prices of these Biofuels on the basis of the inflation forecasts for the course of years 2000 – 2020 in the Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany and provides theoretical backgrounds associated with individual results of the price development in selected commodities. The thesis deals with the price evolution of firewood species – spruce, fir and beech for the period of 17 years in Slovakia, Czech Republic and selected province in Austria. The evolution of prices of forest wood chips for a period of 17 years in Slovakia or for a period of 11 years in the Czech Republic and the price development of wood chips as well as sawdust for a period of 13 years in Austria are analysed in the thesis, too. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the analysis of the price development of wood pellets and briquettes for the course of 11 years in the Czech Republic, price development of wood pellets for the course of 11 years with the current position of the price of briquettes in Slovakia and the price development of pellets in Austria comparing to the price development in Germany for the course of 11 years as well. Finally, the thesis deals with the prediction of the price development of selected Biofuels on the basis of the inflation rate forecasts in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Germany for the course of years 2017 – 2020. Analyzed period was affected by a range of random effects, for example the calamity in the High Tatras in 2004 and various other windstorm in other countries. Obviously, it was affected by the global financial crisis influencing the evolution of prices of selected commodities as well. Theoretical information and knowledge about differently forms of renewable energy sources and their utilization in the world or in Slovakia are also given in the thesis.
