Zvolen LF TU, 2017, 55 s.This diploma thesis deals with the damage of forest stands in selected location, which is the hunting ground called „Pálenica". The thesis describes harmful factors, ways of damaging the forests by the wild animals, and methods of protection of the forest stands from these damages. The extent and way of damage to common beech, european hornbeam, common spruce, european silver fir and deciduous spruce were assessed in the research areas. The results of this thesis show which types of wood are most damaged in the selected area and in what way. The aim of this thesis was to determine possible ways of effectively suppressing the damage caused by the wild animals in the selected area.
