The main theme of this thesis is the comparison of computational methods of fire-technical characteristics with the results of experimental values. Diploma thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and computational part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter is characterized flammable liquids, the physicochemical properties and the fire-fighting characteristics. The second chapter approaching parameters and process of combustion of flammable liquids. The third chapter consists of fires spilled liquids. In the experimental part based on mathematical relationships, we performed own calculations of the selected combustion parameters of flammable liquids. Then we analyzed and interpreted the results of the computational methods with the published values from the experiments.
