The diploma thesis provides new, innovative and progressive methods for evaluating ecosystem services. Ecosystem services are a modern concept in assessing the functions of ecosystems and their subsequent use by the company. The aim of the work was to map the ecosystems at the local level in the Rimavská kotlina basin and to evaluate production, regulatory and cultural ecosystem services. It then follows the development of ecosystem types during the fifth period from 1782 to 2015 on the basis of the bachelor's thesis, followed by the diploma thesis. By evaluating selected ecosystem services and types in the surveyed area, we wanted to give a new look to the landscape. It evaluates the potential erosion, real erosion and surface runoff in the surveyed area and compares them with specific ecosystem services. Part of this work is also the influence of the speed road with the designation R2 in section Ožďany - Zacharovce and Zacharovce - Bátka in full profile to assess the change in connectivity of the accessibility for large mammals, according to the method of the awarded surface. Ecosystem services have the highest potential to have forest and aquatic ecosystems; on the other hand, industrial, commercial, transport and other built-up areas have the lowest potential. The issue of ecosystem services is relatively low in Slovakia, the benefit of the diploma thesis is the design of new methods that will benefit the future practice in landscape planning and assessment of ecosystem services.
