The thesis deals with experimental verification of the impact of the basic cutting conditions (cutting speed, speed of scroll key, the material, the angular geometry of the tool) of the process of plane milling thermally treated (Thermo-Wood, TW) spruce wood on the quality of the treated surface (Ra, Rz, Wa). A comparison of the course of the dependent parameters of the treated area with a natural initial material, with a TW at temperatures in the range of 160-220 °C. Processing and comparison of the data was carried out using the software MS Excel and STATISTICA 12. The experimental measurement was found that the biggest impact on the quality of machining surface, we have achieved for a set of knives, followed by a thermal treatment of material, sliding speed, and the smallest impact we have made at cutting speed. Comparing the results of the used measuring methods, we found differences between the resulting values of the methods for measurement of roughness of the surface.
