At my work, I pay attention to study of the elements, that makes decoration of wooden furniture. Historical furniture offers inexhaustible sources of inspiration in its development, I focus on graphic processing of wood surfaces - decorative motives and techniques, which were presented in all of historical epochs and styles. The research part of the work confronts the development and interconnection of decoration historical techniques with contemporary design. They will assess the importance of their own use as well as the information channel for the next generation, which decides to find inspiration from the past. Although the decoration of furniture is perceived only today as a formal adaptation - the research part also focuses on possible overlaps in the use of the decorative elements in modern design. There is a lot of examples that demonstrate the transformation of historical techniques or patterns can be a full-valued inspiration in the design of the 21st century. In my own design I try to find a suitable current method for generating and making a historicizing decor. Its use and testing offers the possibility of decorating furniture with historical templates and is also usable for commercial purposes connected to possible individual requirements for a particular space or consumer's imagination.
