The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of public auction of wood as a more efficient sale of wood raw material, which took place at expedition warehouse in Rimavská Baňa. At the beginning, it describes the situation on the wood market and sorting of wood according to technical standards. The next chapter deals with timber trading through auctioning, its characteristics and rules, and also deals with the advantages and disadvantages of this form of timber trading. The penultimate chapter analyzes the results of the public auctions at the expeditionary warehouse in Rimavská Baňa, which are individually commented on for the trees and evaluated on the basis of the auctioned prices. The thesis also describes the results of the auctions and the total yield, which was made through auctioning and which shows a difference of 25.5% compared to the pricing prices. At the end of the thesis, it evaluates the tendering process from the viewpoint of the producer and assesses what kind of sales has a perspective on the timber market in the future as well.
