The presented diploma thesis is divided into eight chapters, in which is gradually discribed kitchen furniture. The first chapter is about described materials, which are most often used for the production of the kitchen furniture. The second chapter contains state-of-the-art forging and ways to open movable furniture parts in the kitchen assembly. In the third chapter, we describe the layout and ergonomics in individual kitchen zones. The fourth chapter describes the basic parts of the kitchen unit that need to be solved while designing it so it suits the aesthetic and functional requirements of the user. The main part of the diploma thesis is the design of the kitchen line itself. The kitchen assembly was designed into a renovated family house in Krupina. We consulted the design of the kitchen assembly with a customer and based on their requirements and criteria, we designed an ideal kitchen unit.
