This thesis was focused on assessment of resistance of oak trees against wind on OZ Košice and evaluation of swarming of underbark oak (Scolytus intricatus Ratz) in the year of 2017 at the altitude from 400 to 550 m.a.s. At the basis of analysis of development of random logging, which were caused by wind in the years of 2013 until 2017, we confirmed good static stability of oak woods, while parts of oak in this volume were just 4,34%. On the basis of our evaluation the degree of availability of two series of standings we figured out that the first series were moving in 7,5 until 10,5 of motherly corridors for one trap and second series was moving in 11,5 until 14,25 motherly corridors for one trap. Average count of motherly corridors for one trap was in the first series 9,125 and second was 12,688, this showed growth of 3,563 motherly corridors for trap. At the basis of our observations we can deduct that higher graduation of underbark in oak will continue even in the following years.
