The aim of my dissertation work is closely overview the results achieved by farming deer spices in the area JXII Velka Fatra. The study is divided into four chapters. In the first section I will describe the red deer ( Cervus elaphus). In the second section I detailed geographical, climatological and hydrological conditions in the given area. In the third section I give details of individual subjects in the given area, management and maintenance of deer in the area in the recent time, negative circumstances effecting farming in the area, proposal of improvements of the current conditions and the damage caused by deer in the forests and fields. The fourth chapter is focused on craniometric measurements of deer skulls in the deer area JXII Velka Fatra and in the area JXI Vtacnik.
