The aim of the diploma thesis is to perform an analysis of wildlife management in an anthropized environment of the selected area of Košice over the period of recent ten years and offer solutions to the lasting problem of wild boar incidence abatement in the townresidential areas. The initial chapters are dealing with the characterization of the respective hunting district as well as the non-hunting areas of the city districts. Further chapters are devoted to the analysis of the issue with emphasis on knowing thebiology and ethology of wild-boar, as well as legislation governing the actions of the participants to those events, so as to become knowledgable of all the factors instrumental in this unfavourable phenomenon. A separate chapter is alocated to the analysis of the developments of conflict events that occured in the town residential areas of Košice by the locations and nature of the damages inflicted to the properties of those participating in the undesired events, with the count of wild boars themselves involved, too. The contribution of the thesis is in its methodological approach providing a comprehensive insight into the issue, accentuating the measures to be taken by the competent bodies and locals, all that with the effort to improve the efficiency od the measures taken so far towards finding satisfactory solutions for all the parties involved.
