Lecturer: doc. Dr. Ing. Jaroslav Šálek. Degree of professional qualification: engineer, abbreviated as "Ing.". This analysis was carried out in two selected regions on the territory of the Slovak Republic, namely Štiavnik from the Žilinský region and the municipality of Petrovice, which are also located in the Žilinský region. Both villages are located in Bytča district. The work consists of two main units. The first part focuses on the theoretical part of the thesis, where we describe public policy and its economic aspect (taxes); we also devoted ourselves to the policy of the cycle, the political arena and the police of the network, and lastly the forestry tax and reliefs on forest land. The practical part deals with tax analysis of forest land in specific regions. The work is mainly focused on the amendment of Act no. 582/2004 Coll. local taxes and a local fee for municipal waste and small construction waste. This law is back from the problem solved. The analysis of this issue was solved by personal interviews with representatives of municipalities and their employees, and we also met with expert forest managers operating in forest enterprises, which are located in the area of the studied municipalities. At the end of the thesis there is a conclusion, where we summarize the results of our analysis.
