Bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of credit products of commercial banks in Slovak Republic. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part consists of defining of basic terms: the bank, banking system. Next is defined banking system in terms of Slovak Republic which consists of the National Bank of Slovak Republic and individual commercial banks. This part decribes more detail of the activities commercial banks, their division, the organizational structure, the functions and tasks that commercial banks hold. The active operations of commercial banks are characterized in particular by the definition of the credit process, the various types of loans and the basic conditions of providing them. The content of the practical part consists of a comparison of two credit products from two commercial banks. In this part are described specifically two selected commercial banks and compared credit products focused of housing for young people entitled to claim tax bonus. It the end, based on the analysis and comparison of the results from the model example, an evaluation is made in terms of the advantage of the credit products for model client.
