ŠVEC, Dávid: Possibilities of the use of close-range photogrammetry for the assessment of soil erosion caused by forest harvesting and skidding. [Diploma thesis] ‒ Technical University in Zvolen. Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Management and Geodesy. Supervisor prof. Ing. Ján Tuček, CSc. Zvolen. 2018. 54 p. The thesis is focused on the issues of processing the close-range photogrammetry data. The thesis deals with the analysis of the issues of the soil erosion assessment with the use of point clouds. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the description of the damages which occur in the harvesting-transport process. Photogrammetric points cloud was generated in the Agisoft software and then processed in the ArcGis system. Furthermore, we focused on description of principles on which the technology of close-range photogrammetry is based. In the following chapter, we examined procedure of data collection in more detail for the analysis of the issues, which were occurring during the individual phases of data processing. We have carried out close-range photogrammetry survey for the 70 m part of the road located in the forest stand no. 578, which represents a part of the Forest administration district - Budča I, which belongs to the Forest enterprise of Technical University in Zvolen. In our case, we performed two measurements which were carried out before and after the harvesting. From the data we measured, we generated six digital terrain models (DTM) with the resolutions of 0. 01 metres interpolated using different methods of assigning the cell value. Using the DTMs, we generated model of elevation change for the area of interest. This model was used for derivation of parameters of erosion of skid trail. Depth of ruts for the skid trail ranges from 0.28035 to 0.28039, varying based on the methods used for processing of photogrammetric points cloud.
