The main aim of this diploma thesis was to analyse the growth of individuals of natural restoration of spruce and fir in mixed vegetations rebuilt into the selection forest (parts 1631 and 1632c, LC Liptovská Osada - state). In each part there were randomly selected 30 spruce individuals and 30 fir individuals. These individuals were without visible damage and were placed in different light conditions. The basic biometric parameters were measured and evaluated on the examined individuals of natural restoration: the height of the individuals, the height increments (for the last three years of life), the length of the living part of the crown, the length of the lateral branches of the third highest whorl. A hemispherical image was created above the vegetation peaks of the individuals. Using the WinScanopy 2006 program, the light conditions in the objects under investigation were quantified. The next procedure was to remove 50 pieces of needles, which were dried after scanning and their weight was determined. From the measured variables, the indices were calculated: (RGR) the relative growth ratio, (RCL) the relative crown length, (SLA) the specific leaf area and (ADR) the apical dominance ratio. Subsequently, the dependences between the indirect sunlight and indices RGR, RCL, SLA and ADR were evaluated. The dependence between the relative growth ratio and indirect sunlight, the dependence of the relative crown length and the indirect sunlight, and the dependence of the apical dominance ratio and the indirect sunlight for the spruce in both parts were statistically significant, positively correlated. For the fir tree, the statistically significant positive correlation between the relative crown length and the indirect sunlight was confirmed, but only in part 1631. The dependence of the specific leaf area and the indirect sunlight was negatively correlated for the spruce, statistically significant in both parts. For the fir, this dependence was statistically significant, negatively correlated only in part 1632c.
