Diploma thesis deals with mutual comparison and selected kinds of terrain and technological typizations in the territory Vyšný Žipov. The thesis commences with the definition of factors and conditions of environment, which have major effect on the classification of forest terrains. The autor subsequently describes Slovak and several other foreign terrain and technological typizations, specifying principles which serve as basis of typizations. The thesis informs about the territory where comparison was done. Characteristic of the territory is based on the description of geological, geographical, hydrological, pedological and climatical conditions. The thesis further develops description of forest where was realize comparison between terrain and technological typizations. In the conclusion, the autor compares and evaluates selected kinds of terrain and technological typizations in different terms for the purpose of optimalizing the selection of suitable harvesting and transportation technologies.
