The content of diploma thesis referring to research of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) growth facilities in the European beech forest stands, that was realized within the bachelor thesis (ĎURICA 2016). The object of survey was forest stand number 522 belongs to the forest unit VšLP Budča I. The research is aimed to European beech (Fagus sylvatica L) and comparison with Silver fir (Abies alba Mill). The theoretical part of this thesis contains data about tree species, their production facilities and creation of diameter growth. The main aim within research part was a complex analysis of European beech radial growths based on defined criteria chosen from samples of European beech and silver fir. In all of them was done sampling (cores), that they were measured by forest mensuration rules. After sampling preparation was realized a dendrochoronology analysis as well. From this data were evaluated partial objectives of diploma thesis. The partial objective was comparison of radial growth in surveyed tree species. The process of radial growth in the 5 best (silver fir, European beech) and the 5 worst (silver fir, European beech) growing samples is mentioned for the clarity and for underline differences of growing rhythm between surveyed tree species. Mentioned method was applied during circular base growth analysis as well. The coronet dimension had a significant impact for tree production. From this reason was performed statistical analysis regarding coronet capacity and dimensional growth. Based on this results was defined an optimal number of target trees in mixed forest stand European beech and silver fir considering 45 cm target dimension.
