The aim of diploma thesis was to analyze external sources of financing the forest enterprises and their development over time. The thesis provides basic theoretical knowledge in the field of financing the enterprise and sources of financing, identifies forestry entities and analyzes the possibilities of obtaining external sources of financing in forestry. The contribution of this diploma thesis is an analysis of individual forms of support from public sources in forestry, with an emphasis on the comparison of the different forms and their time development. The results revealed that the external sources of financing are largely used by the non-government forestry sector. An analysis of the different forms of financial support has shown, that project support from the Rural Development Programme is an important resource for raising public funds in forestry.
