The bachelor thesis deals with the principle of computer vision, possibilities of use and subsequent processing of image. There are specific examples of the use of optical control in various industries. At the end of the thesis is described the experiment, which was based on measurement of surface roughness values of individual samples of wood by laser beam. Subsequently, the results of the experiment and its use in the identification of wood surface defects were evaluated.
