The main aim of the thesis was to map out and to expose the current situation in design work for disadvantaged persons both in Slovakia and in the world, apply the specific requirements of these boundary groups into the final product which will meet the needs and informal lifestyle of the end user.The thesis has 2 main chapters. Theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with basic resources leading to the formation of the theme. The thesis next contains chapters which are dealing with relationship between state and the disadvantage people from the historical view. It defines the basic principles in creation for disadvantaged people, inclusive and transgenerational design and co-design. Thesis is also devoted to creativity in relation to disadvantaged people in practice. Practical part sustain three main chapters. The first one analyzes the needs of the target group. The results are evaluated by graphs, with realising analysis of findings and discussion for each one. The second part deals with contemporary work for the target group at home and abroad, defines approaches and rules of creation for people with limited legs movement. The third part applies the findings to the chair design - seating, documents the procedures and ideas leading to the final draft. Author defines the ergonomic and typological requirements of the work and used materials. The work is supplemented by extensive image documentation.
