Diploma thesis deals with the logistics of the selected manufacturing enterprise and its main objective is the analysis of the logistics system and determination of the design for optimization. In the theoretical part we discussed the concept of logistics, its objectives, the description of logistics systems, chains, logistics in shopping, manufacturing and distribution. In the practical part, we focused on the characteristics and detailed analysis of the logistics of Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. The practical section also contains a proposal for improvement and evaluation of the proposed changes in the company, which will lead to an increase in the efficiency of the logistics system.
