The Thesis is focused for wood crushers problematics. First chapter of the thesis dealt with theoretical analysis of crushing different material types with further focus on wood crushing. The chapter includes also description of most common constructive solutions of crushers. Next chapter is focused on present overview of world leader crusher producers including technical parameters. Next part of the thesis dealt with conceptual crusher design, which is focused on choosing the proper crusher type. Next chapter of the thesis consist of computing the technical parameters and structural design of wood crusher itself. Structural design has been made in PTC Creo Parametric. The crusher construction is single rotor, low-frequency (low revolution) with motor power of 55 kW. To check a constructive design the stress-deformation analysis has been made, which confirm the correct dimensioning of particular parts. The output of the thesis is a drawing documentation and functional model of a crusher in a scale.
