The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to obtain technical knowledge and a general overview of band saws, construction and innovate to master their cutting wood lengthwise. Analysis and characteristics of their individual designs and the extent of their use. The work includes general theoretical knowledge of the kinematics and the process of cutting belt saws. Further work includes theoretical knowledge about the process of grinding tool, band saws, description and distribution of basic design of machines for grinding. The last point of the work is the basic Division, a brief description and technical characteristics of the various band saws.
