The aim of this thesis is to roughly determine the load-bearing capacity of joints, named in original „Dovetail“, based on the results of aboratory teting. This joints was designed by the author for the need of testing in a CAD program. And handmade made on CNC machine and subsequently tested by two types of stress. One with support at the join and second without a support. The results were compared with the results of similar testing of steel angle joints. Part of this thesis is a proposal for a possible solution of the methodology of computer modeling of dovetail carpentry using finite element method with prediction of other mechanical properties.The work also demonstrates the possibilities of mechanization of given joints using CNC machines.
