The subject of diploma thesis is evaluation of solving of traffic accident connected with leak and subsequent removal of oil substances from water environment. In the thesis, we simulate traffic accident with subsequent leak of oil substance into the water course. The part of the thesis suggests proper measures for solving this situation. The spreading of the oil substance was simulated in ArcGIS programme, specifically in its ArcHydro extension. The actions and suitable technique depending on the time were suggested in order to effectively prevent further spreading of the oil substance. We choosed suitable location – location B which is 2 020 m far from the accident location. The floating barrages were built in this location in order to prevent spreading and oil separator was used to collect oil substance from the water surface and further NL removal. The core was to come up with optimal solution for the situation that has arisen. We also defined the ways of oil substances removal during its leak in the form of sorbent, various kinds of floating barrages and oil separator.
