The diploma thesis deals with the mechanical properties of corner furniture joints. Corner furniture joints made of massive beech and spruce solid wood were stressed and pulled in an angular plane. Two thicknesses of 12 mm and 18 mm were used for the test bodies, and the fasteners 5x40, 5x50, 7x50, and 7x60. In these corner joints, stiffness and bearing capacity were evaluated, depending on the material type, the size of the confirmity, and the thickness of the material. In the spruce, the highest tensile strength was 7x60 and 16,331 Nm, and at the beech 40,023 N.m. In the conclusion, the values of loadability and stiffness are compared with the tested bodies, the same dimensions and the MDF and DTD confirmations used.
