The design of alltypes of buildings has to bebased on thefulfillment of theconditionsstated in theBuildingAct. At work, wedecided to dealwithone of thebasicbuildingrequirements, namelythefiresafety of a single-storeywarehouse, thesolution of whichdepends on thearea of the base. Theintroductory part of thethesisdealswiththegeneral design of warehouses, theirtypes and types of constructions, thepossibilities and ways of storage in thesepremises and thewaythey are equiptedwithfireequipment. Themethodologyincludes a firesafetysolution in theprojectdocumentation of thebuilding, whichisapplied to theselectedbuilding. On thebasis of thematerialsobtained, ouraimis to preparefiresafetydocumentationforthewarehouse of woodenproducts in theassessed single-storeybuildingwith a single-storeyedbasement in thefirst variant and a double-deck in thesecond variant. In bothcases, weaim to addressthefire risk and to determinetheequipment of thefire department by thefire-fightingequipment, to determinetherequirementsfortheconstruction of thebuilding and theexpectedevacuationtimealongwiththedistance to theemergencyexit. Theconclusioncharacterizesthecomparison of theresults of bothvariants.
